Outreach

The ASTN will leverage the very successful hub-and-spoke model implemented by STEM outreach programs in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington with the goal to impact every county in the three states. Efforts will focus on engaging postsecondary educators, industry, and community-based organizations to raise awareness of semiconductor career pathways.

Workforce Development/Education

The ASTN partners will work collaboratively to expand semiconductor pathways that teach manufacturing, mechanical, computer, and engineering skills and smooth pathways to community college and university credentials and degrees. Efforts will focus on increasing educational credentials and degrees (associate, bachelor, master, and doctoral) in semiconductor technologies which will increase the skills required for this workforce.
